Catching With A Ghost

This incident happened in 2017 during my CCA camp back in secondary school. I am not naming my Secondary school but it is located around west coast. On the last night of our CCA camp, we played running man - you know the south korea variety show. So the plan was to have the excos, Captains and Vice captains, be the seekers while the rest will go and hide. We decided to split up and I was tasked to camp at the connector on level 4 alone. 

  So ,for context,this connector is like a 50m bridge that connects two blocks. I decided to hide behind the parapet on one end of the block and constantly check the bridge to see if anyone is escaping from the other block. Finally! After 10 minutes, I saw someone skipping from the other end of the connector. I couldn’t see the person properly but i’m pretty sure it was a girl with one braid and she looks exactly like one of my friends. I took my chance and began sprinting towards her. 

  As I got closer, I realised that her features was still not visible and the obvious question in my head was “Why is she not running away from me if we are playing running man?!”. When I was about 10-15m away from “her”, I still couldn’t see her features and I decided to make a quick turn and run away from it. 

  Seconds after I hid from it, literally 10 seconds, one of my friends ran into me and he came from the direction of the connector. When he appeared, I got the shock of my life and quickly asked him whether he saw anyone. He said no and he told me that he decided to chase after me because he thought I was running away from him at the connector. My friend is a guy so there was no way he has braids and would be skipping like that. The question is… Who was that skipping towards me?
