Haunted JC

   Back in 2021, I was in this Junior College, JC, located in the north side of singapore. If you know, you know… This JC was rumoured to be haunted as it was old and the specific location that was haunted was my usual study spot. I usually study outside the band room where there are benches. Behind me, there is a lecture theatre as well as an AVA room and both rooms are always used up hence I am not scared when I was told that the area was haunted. I am going to share with you 3 stories of which, 2 are my own story. 

  The first incident happened to my friends and I in my study group. We stayed back for a night study session since our promos were nearing. We were only allowed to use specific areas in the school to study and was strictly prohibited to use the other parts of the school during the night study. After studying for about an hour, one of my friends had to use the toilet and I decided to accompany her. We went to the toilet that was near to the AVA room, about 20-30 metres away. I am a guy so I couldn’t go into the toilet to accompany her hence I just sat on the pavement outside the toilet. While waiting, I heard the sound of piano being played in the AVA room. I could say that the Melody was so soothing but it somewhat felt sad at the same time. Out of curiosity, I decided to walk towards the AVA room hoping to see the person playing it but guess what? the door was locked and when I attempted to open the door the sounds of the piano began to fade slowly. I didn’t think much about it but my friend who was in the toilet saw me and signalled to me to go back to our bench. On the way back, she told me to avoid the AVA room because the cleaners told her that the room is haunted. This brings me to my second story. 

  This is a story from one of the cleaners in the school. During CCA, I noticed the cleaners placing offerings on one of the trees at the back of our schools during the hungry ghost month. Out of curiosity, I asked one of the cleaners “why only that 1 tree?”. She told me that many people have seen a spirit there and they are doing it to offer peace so that the spirit will not disturb anyone in school. She then told me her encounter with this spirit. She came to school early and when she reached, the gate just opened so the security guards and herself were the first to arrive. She immediately went to drop her stuff and went to start sweeping. That’s when she saw a girl with messy hair, like bed hair, sitting alone on a chair in front of the tree. As she was about to approach the girl, she remembered that she was the first person to enter the school on that day. There was NO way that the girl sitting there is human. It was true. When she turned to look at her, the girl disappeared in that split second. 

  The last story that happened to me took place INSIDE the AVA room after my CCA meeting. I was one of the exco members and we had a meeting with the teacher in charge. When I entered the room, I saw my teacher setting up the presentation slides. She told me to turn on the projector which was located in a small room at the top of the AVA room. When I entered, there was a guy there ,who I assumed was the tech assistant, and he helped me turn on the projector. We then proceeded with our meeting. When the meeting ended, I decided to stay back and help my teacher pack up while the rest of the exco members went back home first. As we were about to leave, I stopped my teacher from switching off the lights because I remembered the tech assistant that was in the small room. I told her her that there is someone in the room and as I glanced towards the room, I saw the silhouette of the guy standing still inside. I decided to wave at him and all of a sudden, I was pulled by my teacher. When we were outside, she locked the room and asked me what did I see. I told her and her reply was “so you saw him too?”. She then explained to me that the guy I saw didn’t exist and many other students, staff etc. have seen this “guy”. There were rumours that he died in that small room due to a high fever and many other theories. Maybe that explains why I saw him looking pale and very dull looking. To be honest, I thought that my teacher was lying just to scare me but when I share this story to other people in the school, one of the cleaners also said she saw this guy before in the same room but this guy has never existed in the school staff list or records…
