Pasir Ris Park

 This happened 1 month ago when I was chilling at pasir ris park with my girlfriend. We were chilling in one of those small huts at pasir ris park around 1am. we had an argument recently so we met at the hut to resolve it like the hut was our usual meetup spot. we were talking when suddenly my girlfriend shifted her gaze to an area on my left. It was just a slightly forested area but somewhat still visible. 

  Her face turned visibly pale as she signalled me to look in that direction. When I turned, I saw an old man dressed as a monk or maybe it was an actual monk. That guy had a veryy pale face and he looked very anxious. His mouth was mouthing some words super fast while he continuously look around his surroundings. we watched him for 5 minutes when suddenly my girlfriend’s phone vibrated. The sound from the vibration was considered loud since the whole area was quiet as it was late at night. In an instant, we made eye contact with the monk and he screamed at us in mandarin. I didn’t understand a single word he said but from his hand signals, I believe he was asking us to go. 

  Since I felt uneasy, I quickly dragged my girlfriend out of that area while keeping an eye on the monk. After we left the area, I decided to look behind me to catch a last glimpse of the monk. What I saw wasn’t only the monk. The monk had his back facing me and what he was facing was a group of pontianaks in the vegetation. Some were just standing still and there was one on the hut that I was at. No joke. I am pretty sure I saw at least 8 of them if not more. Luckily, nothing happened to me that night but till this day, I will never go back to that park.
